watermelons cold with forget

it is 1:40, but before i sleep:

not much has changed since Y1 – i still shiver a bit when exams come round

usually each sem i have one mod that i am in good stead for and one mod that i have absolutely thrown under the bus:

  1. Coy vs Prop
  2. PubLaw vs Equity
  3. Evidence vs IP
  4. Cabbage vs Insurance

but this sem every mod feels foreign, and there are just so many tensions tugging me in so many different directions

i mean i have covered 8 cred modules from scratch in a week before, and 5 cred modules in 3 days, but to have only 3 days to spend per mod for all 3 of my law mods?? don’t need to sleep ah…

but i also know this: that there is a thread that runs deeper than these surface desires

please Lord, help me make these final 3 weeks count for something eternal, and not just an ego trip or an empty pursuit of puffy nonsense

help me to be disciplined, to be diligent, to be foolishly generous

to be aware !_! to be kind.. to be faithful.

Lord I look to You – I won’t be overwhelmed. Give me vision, to see things like You do.

    being joyful and thankful is a CHOICE! Tough times present to us opportunities to say Hey worry, I choose Trust! Yeow Fear, I choose Peace! Sup weakness, I choose Strength. and so on. Even though life can be overwhelming at times, but how wonderful to know that all our battles have already been won through Christ Jesus!

    Let us remind ourselves of Paul. I mean that guy was in prison but yet in those dim dark dreadful dismal circumstances, he churned out some pretty rad letters which survived the test of time and POW WOW WHAT A PRIVILEGE to be able to read one of the greatest literature ever written.

    -“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13)
    -“For Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10)
    -“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation” (Philippians 4:12).
    -“To him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).

    Paul rejoiced not in his own will, courage, intelligence, luck, handsome not handsome BUT in the power of Christ through Him. I guess it was like saying: GOD I HAVE NOTHING NOTHING AT ALL BUT I SO HAPPY BECAUSE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING, you ARE EVERYTHING and I GOT CHUUU
    This was how he was able to rise above every affliction 🙂
    God will see us through~~

    You must be thinking WAO THIS PAUL SET STANDARD SO HIGH, HOW CAN I DO THIS?!

    then you read PHIL 4:13 again and realise he is a genius.

    You probably know all of these already anyway and are trying your hardest but hope this reminder tides you through the coming weeks!

    So “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Phil 4:4) PAUL SAY ONE AH, YOU DON’T DO LATER HE ANGRY

    and let the light of Christ shine through you by encouraging others to do the same 🙂

      … more importantly, yes 🙂 when i am weak.. oh joy!! i am strong, for i cast aside all the flimsy crutches that prop up my ego and my image to say Lord, do what You will in me and through me.

      (the way you express urself is so fantastic eh make urself known leh so my joy will b complet)

      but regardless: thank you, and may the love of Christ compel us to bow our knee daily, to see need and not turn away. 🙂
