Lord, on this Christmas, will You draw near to those who are searching for an answer.
To those who are searching for a sense of belonging, or for some temporal or ultimate meaning. To those who are burdened by expectations, or their accomplishments or achievements.
To those who struggle with family, or who have fought with friends, and seen those precious relationships fail to give them what they deeply desire.
To those in need, who are desperate and see no way out – preserve their life Lord.
To those who want to be free, yet are held back by fear, or addiction, or anger, or self-loathing.
To those who are gripped by the need for money, or power, or sex or intimacy or love or some recognition that will affirm their self-worth and value.
In this season of giving, give them Your Son, Christ Jesus, who was pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed :–)
